The Greenstone is a drama that follows the story of Jade Marais. A young woman from South Africa who recently witnessed her mother’s passing. Jade is presented a small box containing a piece of greenstone, a series of photographs and the name of her biological father. Jade embarks on a quest determined to find her long lost father who is believed to live in New Zealand.The Dutch production, The Greenstone, is a fully independent movie shot by Purple Pixel Productions in New Zealand.

About the project
Masechaba offers orphans humanitarian needs such as shelter, provision, education and medical care. Children aged 3 to 11 years old visit the Masechaba Day Care on a daily base in township Bethlehem in South Africa. A significant number of children is infected with HIV and are in need of medical care. At the Bishop Koopman Masechaba Building, the children receive the care and love necessary to let them be children as their life expectancy can be low. We try to give these children a good and worthy life as long as it lasts.
